JUL 7 This post on the Picayune is about a NOLA police officer's open letter to the man who took her daughter. The young woman was killed as she sat in a vehicle on Friday. She was a college student, the daughter of a NOLA police officer and her NOLA fire fighter husband. It's an amazing letter, on a number of levels.
JUL 7 US Rep. Charles Boustany already is prepping a Senate campaign to take over David Vitter's seat should the senior senator win his bid to be Louisiana's next governor, the National Journal reports here. Boustany made the announcement during an recent fundraiser.
JUL 7 Columnist Clancy DuBos says it's been a rough few weeks for social conservatives, as they've seen some pretty stunning defeats. He's spoken with a GOP politician, who says the survival of the party will rely heavily on how it reacts to these changes. Yeah - no kidding.
JUL 7 Here's Today's look at Bobby Jindal's (allegedly) hilarious slogan that (somebody thinks) pokes fun at liberals who think he might have a problem because he likes pictures of himself as a white guy.
JUL 7 Columnist Stephanie Grace posts her comments about that flag, and in this case she says she agrees with Mitt Romney. Romney came out of retirement to say that the flag flying at the South Carolina capitol needed to come down, and Grace agrees with him.

JUL 6 Blogger Tom Aswell surfaces from writing his book about Bobby Jindal to comment upon Jindal's "Tanned, Rested, Ready" slogan. We know Tom doesn't think much of Jindal, and he doesn't think much of his campaign team, either, calling them "Larry, Moe and Curly." Hey - that's an insult to the Stooges.
JUL 6 It ain't easy when the Koch brothers don't like you. Us unwashed masses know about that - those guys want to destroy our public education, eliminate public universities, and sell off all our assets, even our national parks, to the highest bidder. Now it seems Bobby Jindal knows the burn of the Koch apathy. This post on Crooks and Liars documents his lamentations about their lack of interest in his irrelevant candidacy.
JUL 6 Here's a guest post on Bob Mann's blog by Matt Higgins, who tells us how and why we should pay attention to who is giving money to the guys dumb enough to want to be the next governor of Louisiana.
