A full house of Lafayette residents turned out for the comprehensive plan's "Aspirations" forum in the James Moncus Theater at the Acadiana Center for the Arts Wednesday afternoon. Following an overview by John Fernsler and Silvia Vargas, planners with Philadelphia-based Wallace, Roberts & Todd, the more than 200 attendees broke off into small groups and, aided by facilitators, brainstormed lists of attributes they like and don't like about Lafayette.

This was the third forum in a week-long series held across the parish for the Lafayette Comprehensive Plans. This first phase of meetings will be used to generate a master list of things Lafayette residents would like to see accomplished in terms of planning for the parish's growth over the next couple of decades.
