Tomorrow at 10 a.m. in the heart of River Ranch a whole lot of men will be strutting in heels for a good cause. And that cause isn't merely looking smashing in high heels with hairy legs.

Walk a Mile in Her Shoes is march for men held internationally that aims to raise money for that community's sexual assault survivor organizations. Saturday's walk is being hosted by Hearts of Hope.

Hearts of Hope is in charge of the CAC (Children's Advocacy Center), SARC (Sexual Abuse Response Center) and SANE (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners Program). Money raised this weekend will go toward funding these programs and keeping them afloat in order to better help the children and adults in Acadiana who have been victimized as well as educating medical professionals on how to help these victims cope.

There are shoes available for those gentlemen who can't quite find the right espadrille in a size 13 or participants can bring their own. Awards will be given out for "Best Strut" "Best Legs" "The Clutz" and "Best Shoe."

Call 269-1557 to participate or with any questions you have. Registration begins at 9 a.m. Women and children are encouraged to walk as well for a $10 donation and they don't have to walk in heels. For any men participating just remember the walk isn't far.
