Two local couples have partnered to launch a children's clothing company to fill a void in the boys' collegiate apparel market.  Marcus Mire, a local CPA, and wife Stephanie, as well as local attorney H.L. "Rye" Tuten, III and his wife Lainey, launched JV Clothiers, an officially licensed, high-end clothing company specializing in boys' collegiate apparel in February 2012.

"Simply put, JV Clothiers was started by two moms and two dads who wanted more for their sons in terms of collegiate wear," explained Marcus Mire, Co-Owner & Director of Finance & Accounting for JV Clothiers. "After much research we learned that no company was producing high-quality collegiate attire for young boys, so we stepped in!"

After receiving Collegiate Licensing Company (CLC) approval for UL and LSU, JV Clothiers secured manufacturers and launched with boy's shorts (gingham and solid), polos and belts, all adorned with university logos.

"Our goal is to continue to add schools and products to our lineup," added Stephanie Mire, Co-Owner & Director of Marketing & Brand Management. "We want to keep all young fans looking sharp and spirited." Since February, JV Clothiers has added 12 retail partners in nine cities and two states.

JV Clothiers gear is sold online at www.jvclothiers.com and through retail partners, also listed online. Lafayette retail partners include Caroline & Company and Gift Fanatics.
