Lafayette Consolidated Government is urging residents to go online and offer feedback on the recently revealed Comprehensive Plan Vision Statement, a first step in the multi-year development of a plan for growth that will likely encompass everything from infrastructure and zoning to recreation and culture. The plan is meant as a guide for managing Lafayette's growth over the next couple of decades.

The vision statement is the result of community forums and other small meetings in which roughly 1,000 Lafayette residents participated this spring, offering their own preferences for what they want Lafayette to be like in the future. It was compiled by planners at Robert, Wallace & Todd, the Philadelphia planning firm that last year inked a $1.2 million contract with LCG to over the plan.
