The L'Auberge Casino & Hotel in Baton Rouge, opening August 29, will host legendary Gospel and R&B performer Al Green as its first major headliner.

The L'Auberge Casino & Hotel in Baton Rouge opens August 29 and in an elaborate effort to establish its L'Auberge Event Center as an eminent regional hot spot for world famous performers it has enlisted legendary Gospel and R&B performer Al Green to headline a diverse roster of entertainers spanning the L'Auberge's first few months.

That roster includes Human Nature on Sept. 22; the Randy Rogers Band on Sept. 27; Better Than Ezra and Dariurs Rucker sharing the stage on Oct. 12; and Harry Connick Jr., on Oct. 26.

According to an article published in The Advocate, the Baton Rouge facility features 1,550 seats and an outdoor festival ground named The Lawn that can accommodate 3,500 people, which is where the Better Than Ezra and Darius Rucker performance will take place. The property will also include a single-level, 74,000-square-foot casino; nearly 1,500 slot machines; 50 table games, including a poker room; a 12-story hotel with 205 guest rooms, a rooftop pool and fitness center overlooking the Mississippi River; four dining outlets; a casino bar with river views and 2,400 total parking spaces, including 800 in a covered parking garage.
