Starting tomorrow at 2 p.m., NUNU Arts and Culture Collective in Arnaudville will host La Francophonie Ambassador to the United Nations Filippe Savadogo as he makes his final stop on a statewide tour before returning to New York.

During the event, Savadogo will be mingling with local business owners, residents and Acadiana personalities and discussing his work with La Francophonie, an international organization dedicated to the benefit and proliferation of French-speaking populations around the globe.

There will also be a presentation on NUNU Arts and Culture Collective's candidacy as the first North American contingent of Les Articulteurs, which is a cultural economy initiative utilizing the arts as a channel for promoting business, culture and education.

The presentation will also outline concepts of partnership between Les Articulteurs and the New Orleans French Consulate, which introduced NUNU's to the Les Articulteurs program. It will also cover details on Lt. Gov. Jay Dardenne's October state trade mission to France and will announce projects planned for next year's La Semaine Française, or French Week.

The event will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. at NUNU's Art and Culture Collective located at 1510 Bayou Courtableau Highway in Arnaudville. For more information call NUNU's at 453-3307 or visit their website at nunucollective.org.
