Lab's grand opening Sept. 19

by Elizabeth Rose

The Lab's grand opening will be a celebration of the city's newest caffeine-powered establishment with music and indulgent beverages and treats.

The Lab officially opened the week of July 4, but owners Thomas and Pam Peters opted to delay the grand opening until Wednesday, Sept. 19. The staff of the River Ranch coffee shop will serve complimentary coffee, chocolates and their signature cold sweet creams, which Thomas calls his "experiment in imagination." The creams are an ice-cream-and-gelato hybrid in unique flavors including Pear and riesling, Abita root beer, Red Hots and Skittles. All Lab coffees are sourced from six micro-roasters and all teas from SerendipiTea.

The grand opening is "a celebration for all to partake in an adventure where they can gather, discover, taste, share with one another," says the flyer advertising the event. The Mercy Brothers will provide the "harmonies and hymnals" for the event, which will take place from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Sept. 19. Find the Lab in River Ranch at 1042 Camellia Blvd. No. 6.
