Officials sent a text alert asking everyone on the BR campus to evacuate calmly and quickly.

The Advocate is reporting that LSU students, faculty and staff were ordered via a text alert to evacuate the campus following a reported bomb threat Monday morning.

LSU Police are currently investigating the threat called into the East Baton Rouge Parish 9-1-1 call center around 10:32 a.m. Monday, said LSU spokesman Herb Vincent.

The LSU website, http://www.lsu.edu, will continue to be updated as more information becomes avail­able. Anyone with information is urged to contact LSUPD at 225-578-3231.
