Downtown gets Painted Pink Wednesday

by Wynce Nolley

The 2nd Annual Paint the Town Pink fundraiser honoring local breast cancer survivors will be held Wednesday night starting at 7 p.m. at Tsunami.

The Breast Center of Acadiana Foundation will hold its 2nd Annual Paint the Town Pink fundraiser celebrating local breast cancer survivors Wednesday night at Tsunami.

This year's benefit will recognize the Pink Ribbon Divas, a support group comprising breast cancer survivors under the age of 40. Proceeds from the event go directly toward BCA helping to further its mission to fight breast cancer in Acadiana through the foundation's many services and resources including breast imaging and early detection, support groups, educational materials and community outreach.

Tickets can be purchased at the door for $100 per person and guarantee food and cocktails including beer, wine and a signature "pink drink." Entertainment for the evening features music by David Egan and a silent auction showcasing artwork from local artists.

Paint the Town Pink will be hosted at Tsunami in downtown Lafayette from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. For more information about Paint the Town Pink or to purchase tickets, call 456-7479 or visit breastcenterofacadiana.com.
