Dynamite dressing at T&T

by Amanda Bedgood

Preview Party packed with fashionistas

Lafayette's largest fundraising extravaganza began Wednesday with a Preview Party full of Junior League ladies and supporters who didn't disappoint in their sartorial choices. The most independent of dressers we spotted were Lainey Tuten in a green leopard one shoulder dress with ruching detail and Elizabeth Savoie in a funky menswear-insipred jumpsuit and booties.

Lainey's edgy booties, dramatic silver earrings and messy side 'do were perfection. We love a gal who's not afraid of some dramatic accessories, which is why we found ourselves ogling Vanessa V.'s ridiculously big necklace and spiky bracelets over a snakeskin maxi. Junior League ladies Angela Mills (in a chic black dress and metallic heels) and Theresa Matherne were darling. And we appreciate Theresa's nod to the T&T theme with her red, black, white and chevron.

But, the queen bee of JLL reigned over them all in her sophisticated LBD that was anything but an average little black dress with an outline of sparkle and tall golden heels. Alison Howard kept her look utterly Jackie-O with her hair halfway up and a golden glow. Proof that classic can be anything but boring.
