To mark the shuttering of the fourth annual Museum of Fear, the Lafayette Science Museum will host a first-ever Zombie Walk down Jefferson Street on Saturday, Oct. 27 at 5 p.m. The parade of the living dead begins at the old City Hall at Jefferson and Lee where a stone-faced General Mouton will preside over the gathering. Show up at 4:30 for "the lurch" wherein the un-dead get a refresher course in behaving, well, un-dead.
The procession will stagger up Jefferson Street to Congress, hang a right at the museum and end at Parc Sans Souci for an after party and costume contest. Schilling Distributors and Planet Radio will take it from there.
There's no charge to participate and the winner of the costume contest gets to station him- or herself in the Museum of Fear and scare the hell out of visitors for the final night of the attraction. Being the most convincingly un-dead has its rewards.
