Jewelry pieces influenced by Cajun country are not hard to find. But ones with a truly cool look and utterly Louisiana flavor are a bit more rare. And so we were happy to find four such pieces that pay homage to our favorite place in the world and remain totally fashion forward.

Gators have gone mainstream as of late thanks to those people in the swamp
shooting and skinning them every week on national TV. We prefer our gators
with a little less blood. This clever open mouth alligator ring from Vanessa V., $12,
is a great addition to a rock 'n' roll look.

For a chic take on the much-loved iconic Southern bloom - the magnolia - we
looked to Artisan Jewelry where Grayson Carroll crafted this gem of a piece. A
statement ring by definition, this magnolia gives a bold flavor to the most demure
of flowers. Ring $875.

The Pelican State was surely the inspiration for this Mimosa by M.E. necklace, $50,
found at Red Arrow Workshop. The folks at the newly opened store had a few
choices of the state's iconic bird, but we found this bronze one to be just what we'd
add to fall's boho look. Layer with a long gold necklace and some Frye boots.

Oysters did more than inspire this piece from Andy's Jewelry. This mother of pearl
creation is crafted from an oyster and could easily go from day to night. Bracelet, $285.
