Rue Boogaloo & Nik-L-Beer occupy Parc Sans Souci

This season's Bach Lunch wraps up Friday afternoon with Rue Boogaloo at Parc Sans Souci while Nik-L-Beer follows later that night to take the stage at Downtown Alive!

The fall Bach Lunch concert series concludes with the funky blues and swamp pop melodies of Rue Boogaloo as they perform at Bach Lunch for the first time. Friday's Bach Lunch will also feature lunches provided by Agave Cantina, Ema's Café and Poupart's Bakery.

Bach Lunch is free and open to the public with lunches served on a first come, first served basis beginning at 11:15 a.m. and music starting at noon.

Later that night, Nik-L-Beer headline this week's Downtown Alive! at Parc Sans Souci as its fall season winds down. Beverages and concessions will be available at 5:30 p.m. with music from 6-8 p.m. As always Downtown Alive! is free and open to all ages.

And if you're still looking for post- DTA! live entertainment Friday night, here are a few highlights from some of Lafayette's finest venues:

New Orleans' alt rockers Mahayla perform at Artmosphere with Odd Fellows. Doors open at 9 p.m. and cover is $7.

Local Cajun prodigy Cedric Watson joins Dirk Powell on stage at the Blue Moon Saloon at 9:30 p.m. followed by Roscoe Bandana at 11 p.m. Cover is $10.

The New Orleans-based Southern pop rock trio The Mageez celebrate their single release party for "Buttermilk Biscuits" at Grant Street Dancehall Friday starting at 9 p.m. Admission is $5.

Caffe Cottage hosts a full roster Friday night with performances from Oceans & Chimneys, Matt McElveen + The Kids and Dorian Phibian starting at 10 p.m.
