DTA! finishes off its 30th annual fall season Wednesday night with music from the Pine Leaf Boys and the lighting of the City Christmas Tree.

Downtown Alive! closes its 30th Anniversary fall season on Wednesday with a special pre-Thanksgiving holiday bash featuring the Cajun stylings of the Pine Leaf Boys followed by the lighting of the official City Christmas Tree.

The city's official Chritsmas season kickoff will also have sleigh bell fitted carriage rides from Parc Sans Souci, gumbo from Iberia Bank and a toy drive to benefit Toys for Tots.

This 99 percent free holiday concert and celebration begins Wednesday, Nov. 21, at 5:30 p.m. at Parc Sans Souci. Find more details at downtownlafayette.org.

Vermilionville will also be hosting its own Thanksgiving Eve jubilee for Geno Delafose Celebrates Thanksgiving. Geno Delafose and French Rockin' Boogie begin their set at 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday night with tickets for $10 at the door.  For more information visit bayouvermilion.org.
