The Acadiana Outreach Center's annual fête of food and art included a delicious selection of both, with The Victorian in Broussard serving as the backdrop. Guests enjoyed innovative eats like The Lab's affogato, made with espresso and bourbon-salted caramel cold cream, Poupart's shrimp-stuffed puff pastry and Charley G's foie gras PB&J before a live auction that included far flung trips around the world and art for which Palates and Pâté has become appropriately known.

Ladies in metallic dresses were the order of the evening, and we saw fabulous fur on the likes of Kathy Cox and Julie Breaux while lace on Carrie Leonard and Kiki Frayard was absolute sophistication. Richard Young didn't disappoint on the décor and looked dapper in suit. When it came time for the art auction, it was the Abraham Lincoln piece by Clay Judice Jr. that captured our attention. (And it didn't hurt that the man behind the charcoal looked dashing in a scarf and coat.)
