Bird's Nest opens in Oil Center

Jordan Versaggi's eclectic store taking over Natalee spot

We love a store with variety. A little of this. A little of that. If the first offerings we spotted at the Bird's Nest are any indication, this is just that sort of place. Owner Jordan Versaggi has picked a blend of price points and pieces for the newly opened store in hopes of offering a one stop shop for people whether they're looking for an everyday gift or something for a wedding.

The store is temporarily sharing space with Natalee as the beloved store closes (by the way, Natalee is having an excellent sale right now). But soon the entire space will belong to Bird's Nest. And while there will be some items known to Natalee that will be sold in the new store (Barbara Conner pearls), Bird's Nest is decidedly its own.

On the day we went to visit, we found some great pieces already out. Chief among them a line of vintage medal jewelry from a Philadelphia designer. The necklaces caught our eye for their versatility. Great for any age and perfect when layered. We'd love them with a boho vibe.

The high end soap's from Rance also caught our eye. Created for Napoleon's  posse, the company has been in business since the late 1700's and when you take a sniff you'll see why.

Perhaps our favorite picks of the nest were the equestrian corner (this IND Styler has a penchant for boots of the riding variety something fierce) filled with cool framed art of horses, equestrian-themed frames and bracelets that remind us of something quite Gucci.

Jordan tells us these first offerings are just the beginning. The new store will soon have a multitude of speciality items from high end candles and aged balsamics to a children's corner.
