Goudeau leads broadcast board

Chris Goudeau of Opelousas has been elected chairman of the Louisiana Educational Television Authority Board.

NEW ORLEANS (AP) - Chris Goudeau of Opelousas has been elected chairman of the Louisiana Educational Television Authority Board.

The group is the governing board for Louisiana Public Broadcasting.

Goudeau is executive director for the Council for the Development of French in Louisiana. He replaces Glen Kinsey of Shreveport, who served as chairman for the past two years.

Other new officers include Gwen "Gigi" Carter of New Orleans, vice chairwoman; Paul Sawyer of Baton Rouge, treasurer; Kathy Kliebert of Baton Rouge, secretary.

Kinsey will continue to serve as a member of the board's executive committee.
