New hires and promotions throughout Acadiana.

The Ragin' Cajuns Athletics Department announced Wednesday the hiring of Mary Diana Bradley as operations coordinator. Bradley will oversee the event management duties for all women's athletics events, primarily serving as the game manager for soccer, volleyball, basketball and softball. Bradley is a 2010 graduate from UL with a bachelor's degree in kinesiology/sports management. She most recently served as an athletics operations and special events assistant at LIU Post in Brookville, N.Y. Bradley assisted with staffing, set up, operation and breakdown of the department's 15 Division II athletic programs. Bradley was LIU Post's game manager for field hockey, women's swimming and men's lacrosse. She served as operations manager of the 2012 NCAA Division II softball championship East Regional and the 2012 NCAA Division II women's lacrosse championship first round. While pursuing her undergraduate degree at UL, the El Dorado, Ark., native was a member of the University's powerlifting team, earning All-American honors at collegiate nationals in 2009 and 2010.

Devin International, a division of Greene's Energy Group, promoted Donald Bearb to assets and maintenance manager. In addition to classification, implementing structure content and conducting yearly inventory counts, he will be responsible for reviewing MTR/COC information for new and existing Devin rental assets. He will also work with facility management teams and Quality Assurance/Quality Control coordinators to create maintenance procedures and frequencies for all Devin rental assets. Before joining Devin, he was employed with Weatherford International for 38 years.

Robert J. David Jr. of Juneau David has been named 2012 "Lawyer of the Year" in the practice area of labor law-management by Woodward White's Best Lawyers. Only a single lawyer in each specialty in each metropolitan area receives such an honor. The recognition is based on peer-review assessments by leading lawyers. David has represented employers in labor and employment law matters since 1992.

Ian A. Macdonald of Jones Walker was appointed chair of the United Way of Acadiana's 2014 Capital Campaign. Macdonald is a partner and the head of the firm's Lafayette office. He concentrates his practice in the areas of general litigation, including insurance defense, health care, and labor and employment matters, representing insurance companies, retailers, oil and gas companies and construction entities.

The designation of Certified Insurance Counselor has been conferred upon Richard Falgout, a producer at Dwight Andrus Insurance Agency, following his successful completion of a rigorous insurance education program sponsored by the Society of Certified Insurance Counselors. The Society of CIC is a key member of The National Alliance for Insurance Education & Research, the nation's pre-eminent provider of insurance and risk management education. A former UL football player, Falgout successfully completed the five CIC institutes and comprehensive written examinations focusing on all major fields of insurance, insurance management and agency operations.

Jared Veazey, a project engineer in Fenstermaker's Lafayette office, passed his P.E. exams to become a professional engineer in the state. Joining the Fenstermaker team three years ago as an engineering intern, he works with the civil engineering group to calculate costs in determining a project's feasibility based on the analysis of collected data. Veazay's main responsibilities include preparing and modifying reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, and project designs. After serving in the U.S. Army for three years as a technical engineering specialist and paratrooper, he attended T.H. Harris for civil and surveying technology. He then went on to attend UL, where he earned both a B.S. and M.S. in civil engineering.

Mike Latiolais has joined Pixus Digital Printing as sales manager. Pixus provides custom graphic branding solutions to companies in Acadiana and throughout the U.S. Latiolais previously worked in sales with KLFY-TV10 for 13 years.

Paul Fontana has been given the Lindy Boggs Award of the American Occupational Therapy Association. The award honors a member of AOTA who promotes occupational therapy in the political arena by increasing recognition of occupational therapy in federal or state legislation, regulations, or policies or by increasing appreciation and understanding of occupational therapy by elected or appointed officials. The Abbeville native and 1976 graduate of the LSU School of Allied Health Professions is president and owner of The Center for Work Rehabilitation, which has offices in Lafayette and Houston.

Prejean Creative Advertising & Design announces the addition of Monica LaBarge as account assistant. LaBarge graduated from the University of West Florida in Pensacola with a degree in communications and has a six-year background in administration. As account assistant, she will provide day-to-day support in overseeing various client projects while helping to cultivate and maintain client relationships.
