Just for the fun of it

by Amanda Bedgood

A new boutique opens in River Ranch promising 900 square feet of fun fashion.

On Mainstreet in River Ranch a new store opened its doors. A boutique filled with fashion that's anything but serious. At Morgan Claire there is a display of super short shorts ready for the warmer temps sure to come soon. On the walls there are flowy little flirty tops.

And owner Monique Fremin says the store is all about fun. With price points on the lower end and trendier pieces filling the store, Monique says most light-heartedly that the store is all about fun. It's why she opened it.

The day we stopped by, the store's namesake was hanging clothes - working to perfect a wall display. Monique says she and Morgan love to shop and thought it would be fun to open a store that fell in line with their passion. There are a bevy of little tops in the $20 price range, a hefty dose of trendy jewelry and even a rack with some pieces friendly for XL sizes that are still on trend.

Some of the pieces that caught our eye? We love the cross cuff. A huge trend for spring that's been happening everywhere (everywhere everywhere) in necklaces for months, the cross is cropping up in bangles, cuffs and earrings as well. This silver one would rock with some moto boots and a skull t-shirt.

The distressed jeans and flowy peach top scream spring undone. Just the right combo of soft spring with the top and cool downtown with the jeans.

One of the most unique finds in the space was a vest that combines utilitarian aesthetics with some sex appeal thanks to the sheer panels on the sides. A totally unexpected combo is always at the top of our list.
