Black and white (and fabulous) all over

by Amanda Bedgood

Inspired by trendsetter Marc Jacobs, black and white pieces are anything but black and white

I am addicted to black clothing items in a way that's verging on unnatural. And so, any trend that welcomes my favorite color in style makes this IND Styler take notice. Black and white is a combo that never goes out of style. But, when Marc Jacobs marched model after model onto the runway in black and white graphic prints, it set the combo afire anew.

While I'm loving black and white prints of every variety, the cleaner lines and more modern futuristic approach is calling my name. Over at Hemline we're dying for these black and white jeans. How lovely paired with a black (of course) top and colored shoe. Try with another graphic print, perhaps a funky floral or a too loud neon slouchy top or silky tank if you dare.

At Knotting Hill a more demure black and white dress boasts spring's other noteworthy trend - cut outs - without showing too much flesh. Pull hair up to show off that on trend back and try a swipe of vibrant red on the lips.

Brother's has a pair of flats that are so very Chanel-ish with black details. They are just the flat to be worn with little black ankle pants and spring's lovely floral frocks.
