The music of late-great singer-songwriter Jim Croce will be brought to life during a special performance Sunday in the James Moncus Theater at the Acadiana Center for the Arts. Acclaimed performer John Reno and accompanist Eric Ellis will match their considerable skills on acoustic guitar with the music of Croce, who tragically died in a plane crash in 1973 with his accompanist and four others shortly after takeoff from Natchitoches, La. Croce was just 30 years old at the time, but he managed to release five stellar studio albums beginning in 1966 that were punctuated by several hits including "Bad, Bad Leroy Brown" and "Time in a Bottle."

Reno and Ellis will cover the Croce catalogue, offering anecdotes about the late performer and the characters who inspired his songs.

General admission is $15. The concert begins at 3 p.m. To find out more or purchase tickets online, click here.
