The two-hour workshop will cover how many people in South Louisiana used to dye their eggs before the days of store bought egg dyeing kits. The workshop will also go over the natural egg dyeing techniques and traditions including ones that utilize natural dyes, flowers, herbs, leaves and grasses, as well as how recycled silk and wool fabric were used to wrap eggs before they were submerged in boiling water.

CCET's March Backyard Series will be held on Tuesday, March 12, starting at 6:30 p.m. The workshop is free and open to the public and will be held at the Vermilionville Performance Center. Find more details by visiting vermilionville.org.
