Put a ring on it

Dian Malouf trunk show at kiki offers unique, bold design

Like most art, you know a Dian Malouf ring when you see it. While it's hard to articulate exactly why that is, but a glimpse gives you understanding. The pieces are anything but delicate and while they are often "enlivened" (as the folks at Dian Malouf put it) with diamonds, there is something nearly rugged that keeps one from using a word like bling.

After launching her business in 1986 with a silver dome ring, the Texas woman who has created 10,000-plus pieces will be showing off her latest wares at kiki during a two-day trunk show this Friday and Saturday. Based on the peek we've gotten, the gal certainly hasn't lost her touch.

Her pieces are just the sort of thing that can take a simple ensemble to a funkier place, giving a demure dress a bit of much-needed eclectic swag or pile it on for a boho vibe that's a bit more polished. Our fav amongst the latest mix? It just may be the coin-decked ring. Just what would work with this IND Styler's favorite flowy black ensembles.
