A look at the recent accomplishments of those working in Acadiana's banking biz.

Larry Lanclos was promoted to vice president at Business First Bank. He joined the bank in 2008 and has more than eight years of experience in commercial banking. An honor graduate of the MBA program at UL Lafayette and a student at the LSU Graduate School of Banking, Lanclos has lived and worked in Lafayette for more than 20 years.

Stephanie B. Comeaux** has been named community banking vice president for Lafayette at Regions Bank. Her responsibilities include developing relationships with existing and prospective business banking clientele throughout the Acadiana market. Comeaux has more than 35 years of banking experience. Prior to joining Regions, she served as a business banking relationship manager for Chase Bank and a branch sales and service manager for Teche Federal Bank. A native of New Iberia, Comeaux is a graduate of New Iberia Senior High School, the Southwest Institute of Banking and the LSU School of Supervisory Training.

IberiaBank named Casey Hebert assistant vice president and business banking relationship manager for Lafayette and Kent M. Hanes business banking group manager. Hebert joins the bank with more than eight years of commercial banking experience, most recently a business banker for JPMorgan Chase Bank in Lafayette. Hebert is a graduate of UL Lafayette, where he earned a bachelor of science in finance. He was a member of the U.S. Marine Corps for three years, where he studied telecommunications and earned multiple certificates of accommodations for leadership. He was named the Marine of the Year for the 23rd Marine Regiment in 2002 and Marine of the Year for the Platoon in 2001 and 2002. Hanes, who has been with IberiaBank for five years, has more than 35 years of banking experience, including business development, consumer lending and management. Also at IberiaBank, Lexi Baldridge has joined as senior vice president and retail market manager for the Acadiana region. Baldridge has more than 35 years of retail banking experience. She most recently served as branch manager and business banker for Whitney Bank in Lafayette.

Heather Keith has been named first vice president and marketing director at MidSouth Bank. Keith comes to MidSouth Bank from Peoples State Bank, where she served as senior VP of retail banking. MidSouth Bank merged with Many, La.-based Peoples State Bank in December. Keith, who has more than 12 years of banking experience, joined PSB in July 2009. She graduated magna cum laude from Arkansas Tech University with a bachelor's degree in economics and finance. She has government-guaranteed lending experience, is an NMLS registered mortgage loan originator of conventional and government mortgage loan programs and earned the Certified Lender Business Banker designation from the Institute of Certified Bankers. She graduated with a leadership designation from the Southwest Graduate School of Banking at Southern Methodist University and graduated, with honors, from the ABA Commercial Lending School and from the Arkansas Bankers Association Lending School. Also at MidSouth Bank, Christopher M. Sylvia was named in-house legal counsel and Lorraine Miller, its director of mergers and acquisitions, has assumed additional responsibilities as treasurer. For the past 4.5 years, Sylvia was general counsel for PSB. In his new role, he is providing legal counsel to the credit administration and chief credit officer, assisting the bank's notaries on all notary duties and acting as the agent of the bank in real estate loan transactions, litigation, legislative and regulatory hearings and other related areas. Before joining PSB in 2008, Sylvia worked for the Alexandria law firms Vilar & Elliott (2005-2008), and Gold, Weems, Bruser, Sues & Rundell (2000-2005). In late 2009 Miller was hired as a consultant and joined the bank three years ago as SVP and director of mergers and acquisitions, at the time a newly created position with primary responsibility for all financial aspects of the acquisition process. Since then she has played a key role helping double the bank's size to nearly $2 billion in assets by guiding it through four transactions, including its biggest to date: the $40 million merger with the 15-branch PSB. She retains the M&A director title and role with the bank and as treasurer is responsibility for management of its investment portfolio and asset/liability management function.
