Acadiana 365’s Pick of the Day: CajunCodeFest 2.0

Healthcare industry professionals from all over the country will converge on the Cajundome starting Wednesday for CajunCodeFest to focus on the latest advances in healthcare technology.

The Center for Business and Information Technologies at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette will present CajunCodeFest 2.0 starting this Wednesday, which seeks health care solutions by capitalizing on Lafayette's entrepreneurial culture, fiber optic infrastructure and network of healthcare providers to lead technology innovation for issues such as aging, emergency medicine, childhood obesity and workplace health. This year's theme is "Own Your Own Health."

The event will welcome software developers, designers and engineers along with undergraduate and graduate students, physicians, educators, scientists, entrepreneurs and other professionals for three days of networking and talks about cutting-edge issues in health care technology. Another highlight of the event includes a 27-hour coding competition that will focus on converting data that can be used to address healthcare issues.
