New Orleans Saints general manager Mickey Loomis says the club has signed third-round draft pick John Jenkins to a four-year contract.

METAIRIE, La. (AP) - New Orleans Saints general manager Mickey Loomis says the club has signed third-round draft pick John Jenkins to a four-year contract.

The 6-foot-3, 359-pound Jenkins, a defensive tackle out of Georgia, was the second of two third-round picks by New Orleans. He signed his deal on Friday, the same day as the Saints' first rookie camp practice.

Jenkins was the last of five Saints draft choices to sign his contract. First-round pick Kenny Vaccaro signed his Thursday, as did third-round pick Terron Armstead, fifth-round pick Kenny Stills and sixth-rounder Rufus Johnson.

Jenkins played at Georgia for two seasons after transferring from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. He started all 13 games last season, when he was credited with 50 tackles, one sack, two tackles for losses and a fumble recovery.
