For the first time, the St. Martinville Okra Festival and Creole Zydeco Festival combine into one giant two day event with live music, a dance marathon and an okra cook off along Bayou Teche.

For the first time, St. Martinville's Okra Festival and Creole Zydeco Festival combine into one giant two day event with live music, a dance marathon and an okra cook off. The festival starts Friday, May 24, from 6-11 p.m., and features live music from Geno Delafose. The festival continues Saturday, May 25, from 11 a.m. to midnight with performances from Sideshow and Keith Frank, an okra cook off Saturday morning and incredible food, crafts, a kids carnival and of course a Zydeco dance marathon taking place throughout the day.

The Creole Zydeco & Okra Festival will be held at the festival grounds on Bayou Teche, located at 203 N. New Market St., St. Martinville. Tickets are $5 per person with children 12 and under getting in for free. For more information, call 337-394-2230 or visit cajuncountry.org.
