Native Owl film as beautiful as the jewelry
There are people that just get it. The folks over at Native Owl are among them. The jewelry line - helmed by Lafayette native Jamie Faulk - has that sort of eclectic appeal that's impossible to imitate and easy to spot. And their latest endeavor to leave a mark has certainly done so. The short film by Construct Films (from the beautifully talented Natalie Kingston) is just the sort of haunting expedition into nature one would expect from a line that marries a sort of tribal vibe and boho flavor in a way that's anything but trite.
Teri Wyble - another Lafayette native - stars in the film with her signature look and fluid movement (the girl can dance in a way that's poetry in motion). And perhaps above all, there are the unique pieces of Native Owl - bits of turquoise and hammered thin metals, necklaces of the ladder design and earrings dangling with a colorful bead.
