The eight-week martini tasting returns to benefit Healing House, a local non-profit agency that helps children through times of grieving. Starting Tuesday, July 2, area restaurants are competing to be named "Lafayette's Absolut Best Martini."
Patrons have the opportunity to taste a signature martini from participants on Tuesdays for free with the purchase of an entrée at the weekly featured restaurant.
Diners, however, must go to Healing House's website in advance to print their drink voucher to receive the complimentary cocktail. Participants then have the opportunity to join in online voting for which restaurant pleased their palates best.
The tasting concludes Aug. 24 at the Hilton Lafayette in a taste-off during the Martinis gala featuring live music and silent auction.
