EatLafayette Dish of the Day: Coyote Blues' mesquite sirloin

by Kari Walker

Mesquite grilled flavor and Mexican spices are on the grill at Coyote Blues.

The menu says it best: "If Mexico and Louisiana were neighbors, Coyote Blues would be a border town."

While known for superb Mexican cuisine, Coyote Blues' extensive grilled menu options do not disappoint. The Mesquite Sirloin is a chile rubbed, 8-ounce choice top sirloin steak grilled over mesquite for a smoky element of flavor. The tender cut is seasoned with heat that won't leave you in tears. The slab of beef comes served alongside mashed potatoes and ancho mushroom demi glace. All this flavor for only $14.49.

Be sure to mention EatLafayette when you order to receive free queso dip with purchase of any entree during the local dining campaign.
