Colorful Black & White VIPs

The Black & White Gala VIP Party brings the summer shades

The fete was all about the Black and White Gala (slated for Aug. 17), but Thursday night the American Cancer Society supporters arrived in a colorful array of summer hues for the VIP and sponsor party.

The intimate shindig at the home of Dr. Savoie and UL First Lady Gail was, as usual, that perfect mix of good eats, cool drinks and even better conversation. Ladies on the committee were summertime cool in florals, stripes and beach time shades. Debi Nogle, Alicia LeBouef and Mallory Acrey were a fresh trio of simple prints that were utterly fresh. Chair Laura Ketteringham was beautiful in ocean blue displaying the earrings kiki donated for the auction (a lovely set of dangling pearls you can bid on in just a few weeks).

Richard Young arrived looking sharp with Nicole Eldarragi, who was polished and classic in a crisp white dress with a sherbet stripe. When it came to sherbet, Dr. Aleicia Donald was as good as it gets. Her tricolor color block dress was a beautiful choice. And her husband hit just the right note in the style department as well. Dr. Chancellor Donald (a Spirit of Hope winner) was dapper in a fresh jacket and pale blue shirt.

Committee member Stephen Barker was a gent per his usual in lavender with Victoria Toups on his arm in a great black dress with floral print and a sweet peplum. If this shindig was any indication, we can't wait to see what they'll pull out for the big gala in a couple of weeks at The Victorian. Stay tuned.
