Style came in twos Thursday night

This IND Styler loves a fashionable dynamic duo. And last night at Palates and Pate there wasn't a shortage. The fete for Acadiana Outreach Center at The Victorian started with delish eats in the aged home in Broussard (it was all about the Charley G's turtle soup apparently) before the crowd headed to the sparkling tent.

Richard Young was on hand with promises that certain pieces of this set up were but a preview of his epic Christmas party bash we've just penned on our calendars. Speaking of all that glitters: Erica Courtney. The celeb fav jewelry designer (trunk show at kiki today, by the way) looked beautiful in a black dress. At least I think it was black. This IND Styler is still seeing spots after getting a good look at the 11 carat Mandarin garnet ring Erica was sporting. Her sister (and artist) Cezanne Nails was lovely as ever in a black and white dress with sparkling black flowers. On the arm of uber talent Carl Groh in a dapper suit, Cezanne and Carl were quite the artful combo. Kiki Frayard was the lady in red in a demure little dress and sexy heels while daughter Katie Culbert was boho chic.

In the way of fashionable platonic pairs, there are few that do the scene like Stephen Barker and gal pal Victoria Toups. Mr. Barker wore sparkling loafers and a bow tie of his own creation while Victoria was that combination of thoughtful dresser and effortless in lux pants, metallic top and sexy cool jacket. IND's own Jenna Fontenot was a doll in a beret with her sexy smart girl red glasses (you know how I feel about hats) while her sis was sexy funky in leopard print.

Ryan Rogers of exboyfriendmaterial.com was as interesting in person as he is on the page (err, online) and a lucky fellow with beauties Amber Champion (amaze in lace trimmed black) and Lindsay Mallia (fabulous in leather) on each side. But it was perhaps Jimmy Mallia that outdid them all in a dashing suit and bow tie. Proof that looking the gent is anything but boring.
