Camellia Crossing

On Thanksgiving Eve, join River Ranch residents under the night sky as they run or walk down Camellia Boulevard for the 11th Annual Camellia Crossing: Acadiana's Fastest 5K & Family Fun Run. Participants' registration fees as well as the funds raised will make a direct impact on lives in Acadiana. Attendees are encouraged to form a team with their friends, family and co-workers to discover the difference they can make together. All funds raised stay in Acadiana to fund the mission of Miles Perret Cancer Services to help families fight, survive and live with cancer.

Camellia Crossing takes place on Wednesday, Nov. 27, at 5:30 p.m., at River Ranch Town Square. For more information, visit MilesPerret.org/CamelliaCrossing.

Thanksgivukkah

For the first time in hundreds of years, Thanksgiving and Hanukkah are overlapping, giving the American Jewish community a once-in-a-lifetime chance to celebrate an anomalistic hybrid holiday, simply dubbed Thanksgivukkah. This unique holiday crossover event will be celebrated locally at the office of attorney David Abraham. Residents across Acadiana are encouraged to join the local Jewish community to enjoy traditional Thanksgiving dishes and customs combined with the traditional dishes and customs of Hanukkah.

Thanksgivukkah will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 27, from 5:30-7:30 p.m., at the Office of Attorney David Abraham, located at 5040 Ambassador Caffery Parkway.

For more information call Rabbi Barry Weinstein at (225) 571-4798.
