People in Business: UW's Margaret Trahan and MidSouth Bank's Bryant DeLoach

Margaret Trahan elected to serve on UW Worldwide's National Professional Council, and Bryant DeLoach joins MidSouth Bank as commercial lender in Lafayette.

Margaret Trahan, president/CEO of United Way of Acadiana, was elected to serve on United Way Worldwide's National Professional Council, a leadership body advising on issues of importance to United Way both nationally and in local communities.
United Way Worldwide's National Professional Council comprises 48 UW CEOs in the U.S. and serves as a national leadership body for a movement of nearly 1,200 member UW organizations, advising United Way Worldwide's U.S. president and providing leadership in building the UW system in the United States. Trahan is serving a three-year term. "United Way of Acadiana's mission is to unite people and organizations with passion, expertise and resources to create more opportunities for a better life," said Trahan. "This is an opportunity for me to contribute even more to this effort not only on the local level but the national level as well."

Bryant DeLoach has joined MidSouth Bank as commercial lender for the Lafayette market. DeLoach, who was recruited from Chase Bank, works out of MidSouth's main location at 102 Versailles Blvd. A Lafayette native, DeLoach has 12 years of banking experience, having most recently worked for Chase Bank as Commercial Relationship Manager. Prior to joining Chase, he was District Sales Manager for Wells Fargo for a decade. "Bryant is an astute banker who understands the many challenges as well as the abundant opportunities facing local business people," MidSouth Bank Regional President Kevin Latiolais said in announcing the new hire. "He will play an important role in ensuring local companies have the tools they need to hire more employees, expand their operations or just keep their businesses running smoothly," Latiolais added. "We are fortunate that someone who has built so many lasting relationships in the business community has joined our team." DeLoach has a bachelor of science degree in business management/marketing from UL Lafayette. A member of the UL Alumni Association and Ragin' Cajuns Athletic Foundation, he also coaches LYSA soccer and Lafayette Little League.
