Twin Peaks, a sports bar and grill that serves "hearty man food and ice cold beer," is coming to Lafayette.

ABiz has learned that the Dallas-based chain is constructing a 9,676-square-foot freestanding store at 5801 Johnston St. next to Cheddar's by the Acadiana Mall.

The restaurant serves food and drinks in a man-cave-like setting, delivered to patrons' tables by its signature "girl next door charisma and playful personality" waitresses. More like waitresses in revealing uniforms showing their midriffs and cleavage. Therein lies the "scenic views" it promises.

A Twin Peaks corporate rep did not immediately have details about when the restaurant will open. The chain has Louisiana locations in Baton Rouge, Houma and the New Orleans area, according to its website.
