The way to celebrate NYE with little ones

Don't miss celebrating the coming of 2014 with your littlest ones. Each year the Children's Museum of Acadiana hosts a New Year shindig with the kids in mind with a noon countdown in lieu of midnight.

The event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the downtown museum includes a carnival with outdoor game booths, crafts and face painting; as well as the existing exhibits housed inside the CMA. From the high striker that shows off your strength to the catch of the day, kids can enjoy games as well as make NYE goodies like noise makers.

Bonus: kid friendly cuisine will be on hand and there will be several ball and prize drop locations in the museum.

Admission is $7 per person and .25 cents a ticket for outdoor carnival games, crafts and food.
