Kidz Kabaret teaches children the value of musical theatre at Cite des Arts.

Kidz Kabaret is a theatre education program that showcases the theatrical talent of children in grades 4 through 8. The goal is to give each child an opportunity to perform while learning about all aspects of musical theatre through specific curriculums. The program focuses on each individual child and his or her unique talents and abilities. Over the course of five weeks, kids will meet once a week in small classes with an instructor at Cite des Arts.

The children will each choose one song from a musical or movie musical or monologue, rehearse it, and perform it in front of a live audience. This class is neither a voice lesson nor an acting workshop or a dance class, but all three incorporated into musical theatre.

Classes begin the week of January 6th and run through the first week of February at Cite des Arts, located at 109 Vine St., in downtown Lafayette. For more information or to register, visit KidzKabaret.Webs.com.
