CPC elects new leaders

Freshman Councilman Kevin Naquin, a popular Cajun musician who represents northwest Lafayette Parish, is the new chairman of the council. Vice Chairman is Kenneth Boudreaux.

In an annual first-meeting-of-the-year rite, the Lafayette City-Parish Council Tuesday elected new leadership for 2014.

Freshman Councilman Kevin Naquin, a popular Cajun musician who represents northwest Lafayette Parish, is the new chairman of the council. Vice Chairman is Kenneth Boudreaux.

The Lafayette Public Utilities Authority, which oversees the city-owned Lafayette Utilities System and is a subset of the council, will again be led by District 7 Councilman Don Bertrand. Vice Chairman is Keith Patin.
