For its first show of 2014, the Les Vues Film Series screens "Pina," a cinematic eulogy paying tribute to late choreographer Pina Bausch.

For its first show of 2014, The Les Vues Film Series kicks off its 2014 season with a screening of Pina, a cinematic eulogy paying tribute to late choreographer Pina Bausch, which will be curated by dancer and choreographer Paige Krause. Following the screening will be a panel with fellow members of the performing arts community.

Pina is an homage to the late German performer and choreographer Pina Bausch who was a leading influence in the development of the Tanztheater style of dance. Released in 2013, this 3D German documentary, directed by Wim Wenders.

The Les Vues Film Series screens Pina, on Monday, Jan. 27, starting at 6:30 p.m., in the Performance Center at Vermilionville, located at 300 Fisher Road. Admission to the film series is free, but a suggested $5 donation will go towards screening and curating costs. Refreshments will be made available for this all ages film series.
