It's hot then it's cold

Fashion in transition

If I had a cute, lightweight slouchy sweater for every time I've heard "this Louisiana weather!" I would have a wardrobe fit for this Louisiana weather. Spring transitions in fashion are never an easy feat and so we've rounded up some great spring pieces you can rock right this minute and then again when everything thaws because we know this Polar Vortex is really doing a number on the wardrobe.

One easy way to feel a bit more spring despite the chill - the pastel sweater. Pastels have been huge this winter and they continue to rock, of course, well into spring. Layer up the lightweight sweaters with jackets, snug tops underneath and a big scarf then wear with nothing but a thin little tank when temps warm. We love the mint sweater over at Vanessa V. that also comes in cream and a black color. Bonus: you can wear this with white jeans when spring arrives in earnest.

Over at Hemline we love the spring beanies. This hat lover loves a fun color and these in spring's must have shades are perfect now to keep your head warm and infuse your winter wardrobe with some spring vibe. A color that goes easily from winter to spring is this soft blue-ish shade over at Knotting Hill by way of a slouchy sweater that shows some shoulder. Wear now with jeans and boots and by the week's next sunny day rock as they styled with spring's super hot black and white stripe.
