UL brings in 21 recruits on signing day

UL Lafayette has bolstered the depth of its offensive and defensive lines with its 2014 recruiting class, while also adding to its passing game and pass defense.

LAFAYETTE, La. (AP) - UL Lafayette has bolstered the depth of its offensive and defensive lines with its 2014 recruiting class, while also adding to its passing game and pass defense.

Coach Mark Hudspeth, who's led the Ragin' Cajuns to victories in the last three New Orleans Bowls, has brought in 21 new players in all, including four each on the offensive and defensive lines.

Wednesday's class also includes four wide receivers, four defensive backs, two quarterbacks, two linebackers and a tight end.

The highest rated recruits include linebacker T.J. Posey of Gasden City High School in Alabama; tight end Anthony Jones of Edna Karr High School in New Orleans; wide receiver Dylan Bossier, a transfer out of Jones County Community College; and defensive lineman Ken Edwards of Neshoba Central High School in Mississippi.
