Seriously. They blew a wad laying down tracks in an Austin studio for their first record in four years. Now they need our help raising $30,000 to get it out to the world.

The Grammy-nominated band, which began as a group of pre-teens performing traditional Cajun music but has evolved into a killer indigenous band that both celebrates Cajun music and pushes its boundaries into new forms.

The band on Friday launched a campaign at the crowd-funding website Indiegogo to raise the cash for the record, which is untitled at this point. And donations to the cause earn rewards that range from a digital download of the new album ($10 donation) to other merch including an autographed copy of the record on vinyl. A $1,500 donation will earn you a crack at recording a traditional Cajun song with the band at Stafford Studio in Lafayette. Give em five grand and they'll play a two-hour concert at your house.
