Bread & Circus' Fire Bird sandwich balances smoke, spice and sweetness, an all-around palate pleaser.
Bread & Circus Provisions begins serving lunch today at its 258 Bendel Road location next to Edie's Express. The unique business model of Bread & Circus is one part artisan goods and the other crafty sandwiches, salads and other upscale-casual fare. From humble beginnings as a market stand at the Saturday Horse Farm farmers market to playful pop up shop dining, Bread & Circus now has the means to reach even more hungry mouths in Lafayette.
Today's dish of the day is Bread & Circus' Fire Bird sandwich - the dish starts with smoked chicken cooked in a garlic sauce and then piled high on a brioche bun with celery salt mayo and topped with pickles and lettuce.
The sandwich is $9, and side dishes are à la carte. IND Eats suggests the housemade smoke rubbed potato chips that are sure to leave you craving more crunch and a second helping.
Get over to Bendel Road early as this new addition to the Lafayette lunch scene is sure to be a hot spot.
