The Louisiana coastline is vanishing faster than mappers can keep track, according to a disturbing article at TheWire.com. As a result, 30 areas along southeast Louisiana's coast - places like Scofield Bay, Bay Jacquin and English Bay - have been officially retired from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's Office of Coast Survey map.
