French at the Market
This second Saturday event at the Lafayette Farmers and Artisans Market at the Horse Farm encourages those who love the French language and culture to join in with amis. Les Amis de L'Immersion, the group that provides support for Lafayette Parish French Immersion programs, hosts a student performance followed by a French conversation circle - French speakers of all backgrounds, ages, and language levels are invited to join in.
The monthly event hosted by Downtown Lafayette encourages locals to get out and see what area artists are up to. This month, check out the exhibits at Cité des Art and Cajun Spice Gallery to see works created by the LPSS talented arts program as part of the annual Multidisciplinary Arts Festival. If you miss out on ArtWalk, you can still see the student work as the festival continues through March 22.
