The Preservation Alliance of Lafayette is holding a special fundraiser this Sunday featuring a performance from local musician Philip Gould and Honduran singer-songwriter Jose Hernandez Dubon.

"We focus on music from Latin America, from Tejas to Tierra del Fuego and numerous points in between," says Gould. "We are playing for a fundraising event to support Preservation Alliance of Lafayette. Please don't get me started about the importance of historic buildings for a community. I hope I would be preaching to the choir as they say."

The event will showcase several of downtown Lafayette's historic buildings, including open houses at the Lafayette Museum, Pamplona, Parc Sans Souci, Lafayette Hardware, First Methodist Church, the Poche Building and more.

Several tickets are on sale for the event, many of which include a picnic and history walk where patrons get a picnic box lunch from a participating downtown restaurant. The history walk will be held from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and takes guests on an intimate, guided tour of downtown Lafayette's rich history and architecture.

Hear Gould and Dubon perform at the Preservation Alliance fundraiser, which will be held on Sunday, March 23, from 12-5 p.m., at Parc Sans Souci downtown Lafayette. For tickets and more informaiton visit PreservingLafayette.org/Events.
