Saturday, March 29
Lafayette Holi Festival, Girard Park
11 a.m. - 3 p.m.

The traditional Hindu religious festival celebrated every spring is also known as the festival of colors. Primarily observed in India and countries like Nepal, South Africa and Trinidad, the fest has been a part of Acadiana since 2011 as a way to share a piece of Indian culture fused with Cajun spirit. It's a family friendly festival with food, Bollywood music and culture - wear light colored clothing you don't mind tossing after as this bright event will leave you splashed with a rainbow of color. The festival is free to the public but bring some cash for food vendors.
