Parents Empowered, a local group of parents from the Lafayette Parish School System, has announced "Cafeteria Conversations" - a series of town hall meetings over the coming weeks featuring Superintendent Pat Cooper.
The effort is an attempt to get parents engaged in an open dialogue with the superintendent on the "100 percent In / 100 percent Out" plan.
Each event will begin at 6 p.m. and will include light refreshments.
Here's the schedule:
Thursday, April 17 at Comeaux High
Tuesday, April 29 at Acadiana High
Thursday, May 1 at Northside High
Tuesday, May 6 at Carencro High
