LAFAYETTE, La. (AP) - A New Orleans photographer's work will be showcased in a book to be published by the University of Louisiana-Lafayette Press.

The book featuring the photos of Tina Freeman is called "Artist Spaces: New Orleans."

Set for publication in October, the book features more than 100 images displaying the studios of New Orleans artists.

The text by Morgan Molthrop includes interviews with each artist.

An official launch reception for the book will be held at the Ogden Museum in New Orleans in October.

"Tina Freeman is one of the most accomplished photographers working out of New Orleans," said James Wilson, associate director of University of Louisiana- Lafayette Press. "She has never done a book set in her native city. This project is a perfect expression of her commitment and contributions to the New Orleans art scene."

Ogden Museum director William Andrews said the work is eagerly anticipated. "This is a very exciting topic and a long overdue survey of an energetic and essential community of artists," he said.
